Content is critical to any eCommerce site or experience. Magento has had a painful history with its default CMS offerings, which have (rightly) led merchants to consider external solutions - and vendors to build them.
This talk isn't a sales pitch or demo for Hyvä CMS. It's a guide for what to consider when deciding the right CMS solution for your store, sharing the learnings from building our own CMS in an agnostic way, alongside over ten years of experience implementing CMS solutions agency-side.
It's aimed primarily at the decision makers involved in selecting a CMS - whether on the merchant, agency, or consultancy side - with a supporting checklist attendees can take away.
This isn't a sales pitch - it's a guide to choosing the right CMS for your store.
02 About John
John is VP Product at Hyvä, overseeing development for Hyvä Commerce, Enterprise and the wider product suite. Based in Shrewsbury, UK, he has been involved with Magento since 2012, having previously helped build and grow the agency Fisheye as Technical Director.
He is passionate about performant eCommerce sites with exceptional user experience, and about helping developers and merchants get the most out of the platform.
John is obsessed with everything orange (which may be related to Magento!) and plays an active role in the community - attending events, supporting open-source initiatives, and serving as a Mage-OS Ambassador, having previously been a (founding) Board Member.
