As modern Magento architectures become increasingly decoupled, the platform routinely shifts from an isolated store into a central hub routing data to external ERP, PIM, and OMS layers. Standard infrastructure monitoring reliably flags mechanical failures that throw explicit error codes - but it remains entirely blind to logical data corruption.
This session addresses that "observability gap": cases where asynchronous pipelines execute with a successful HTTP 200 or a generic queue acceptance, yet mask out-of-order race conditions, swallowed consumer exceptions, or partial payload drops.
Silent failures are insidious - they bypass traditional alerts, quietly degrade data integrity over months, and consume vast amounts of agency support hours. This talk outlines the shift from mechanical error-checking to intentional observability, building data transparency directly into the core application layer.
Did it sync, or did it just not error?
